The Rosary by Florence L.Barclay

Well, this is going to be my first book review on my blog. I just finished reading this amazing classical romance novel and just can’t wait to write about it.

The Honorable Jane Champion is a very plain women who doesn’t even act much like one. She is very independent in her life and enjoys activities women usually find boring.

The whole story started with her being asked to sing in a party arranged by her aunt instead of a well known artist who failed to attend. Jane believes that sinning uncovers the true personality of someone and exposes the deepest feelings of his heart. That is why, she never sang in front of anyone and no one knew of her astounding talent until the night of the party.

That night, Garth Dalmain, an artist who enjoys beauty more than anything was present. He was a close friend of Jane’s and after he heard her singing.. everything between them changed forever. Her sinning went deep to his heart and stole it because he saw in it how fiercely Jane was capable of loving someone and from that moment he longed to be this someone.

Jane in return was also deeply affected by Garth’s reaction to her sinning and the selfsame feelings he had started brewing in her heart though she was passive of them.

Tragedies fall upon the two and they both suffer for their love until the very end.

This story reflects the true nature of love between human beings and shows how deep it can go and how honest it could be. I dislike it when a novel as good as this one is that underrated and recommend it for everyone who likes classics
